Search Interface
GlycanCombo
Search Function
This interface is for the search of combinations of glycan substructures.
The query can be any or combination of glycan motifs, glycan epitopes, and/or reducing terminal core structures (substructures).
Structure List and Tabs
You can choose the Tabs of Glycan Classification below.
Structure List |
+Reducing Terminal |
+N/O-Linked |
+GlycoLipid |
+Non-reducing Terminal |
+SubStructure |
Reducing terminal sugars are sugars (carbohydrates) that covalently bind to proteins and/or lipids. You can chose the query fundamental structures consist of several carbohydrates containing the reducing terminal sugars from this tab.
Non-reducing terminal sugars are sugars (carbohydrates) that exist at the terminal end. You can chose the query fundamental structures consist of several carbohydrates containing non-reducing terminal sugars such as Lewis x, ABO blood group type epitopes, and sialylated substructures from this tab.
Instruction for Search
For example, when you search for “Sialyl Lewis-a on core 2
O-linked glycans”
Select the “Reducing Terminal” tab and “N/O-Linked” tab from the “Structure List”, then click “add” on the core 2 structures. Similarly, select the “Non-reducing Terminal” and click “add” on the sialyl Lewis-a structures.
Your selected substructures now appear on the “And Search Condition” area.
Confirm the substructures and click “Search” button.
On the search result page, a list of the structures and substructures, as well as substructures contained in each of the returned structures appears.
Your query substructures are indicated with the respective background colors.
